Child Cell Editing

Child cells help you break complex content into smaller editable units. Use them when a source segment contains multiple translation units, needs supporting paratextual content, or benefits from a more detailed structure.

Split a Cell

1. Open the target cell.
2. Open the cell tools menu.
3. Choose the split action.
4. Edit the new child cells.
5. Save your changes.

Add Supporting Content

Use supporting or paratextual cells for headings, section markers, notes, or other content that belongs near the translation but is not a direct source segment.

1. Open the relevant cell.
2. Open the cell tools menu.
3. Add a cell above or below.
4. Enter the supporting content.
5. Save your changes.

Delete a Child Cell

1. Clear the child cell content.
2. Open the cell tools menu for that cell.
3. Choose the delete action.
4. Confirm the deletion.
